Army Vantage wins ACT-IAC Innovation Award

PEO EIS’s Army Vantage program, part of the Army Data and Analytics Platforms portfolio, has been named a winner of the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council’s (ACT-IAC) 2021 Innovation Awards. The goal of the awards program, according to ACT-IAC, is to recognize and promote the best innovations to improve services to citizens and government operations.
As one of the 13 winners selected by a panel of judges from 169 total nominations, Army Vantage has been invited to exhibit and demonstrate its enterprise data analytics platform at ACT-IAC’s Emerging Technology and Innovation Conference, to be held in virtual format from May 25-26.
The Army Vantage platform, which went into production in early 2020, benefits a variety of Army stakeholders — including senior leaders, command teams, contracting officers and the analytics community — by improving efficiencies for the Army and allowing users to make decisions with current information. The platform enables users to view comprehensive Army-wide data, perform analytical workflows, analyze trends, collaborate live and make data-driven decisions.
Within weeks of rollout, Army Vantage was used to support several high-profile missions, including to help Army leaders make data-driven operational decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic. More recently, Army Vantage users completed a successful proof of concept to build a supervised machine learning model to help predict new-recruit success through the Basic Combat Training course.
Overall, Army Vantage supports five lines of effort that do the following:
- Enable a near-real-time view of individual and unit-level readiness (Command Toolkit)
- Provide access to all administrative, academic and performance data while producing a holistic picture for the U.S. Army’s John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School’s student management training pipelines (U.S. Army Special Operations Command)
- Enable optimal spending and enterprise funding allocation (Finance/Return on Investment)
- Integrate critical equipment, shipment and finance data sources to enable the Army to understand its equipment-in-transit and disposable funding in real time (Equipment-in-Transit)
- Provide a shared understanding of current readiness levels and concerns, as well as aircraft part availability, within the Army Aviation Enterprise (Aviation Readiness Reporting)
