PL AMIS unveils latest portable deployment kit technology to support mission readiness
The need to provide Soldiers with the best in asset tracking and management technology is of the utmost importance to Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems’ (PEO EIS) Product Lead Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (PL AMIS). In partnership with a provider of portable deployment kits (PDKs), PL AMIS has updated and merged its latest capability into one complete kit: the PDK III.
Created to replace aging PDK technology, the PDK III is a complete active radio frequency identification (aRFID) solution for real-time visibility into mission-critical assets in motion and at rest — at any location and in any environment. The rugged, yet streamlined, system is operational right out of the box, enabling fast and direct access to the radio frequency in-transit visibility (RF-ITV) network, even in austere environments.
The PDK III includes a 2D barcode scanner, mobile printer, mobile reader and Iridium modem for asset tracking and in-transit visibility. Using the PDK III, Department of Defense (DOD) movement control teams (MCTs) can quickly set up mobile operations and automate data collection, aggregation and de-aggregation.
“With Defender 2021’s test of theater operational capability fast approaching, the PDK III is important new technology to support mission readiness with robust in-transit visibility into military assets,” said Keith Baylor, product lead of AMIS.
The PDK III is now available through the aRFID IV contract, and orders can be placed immediately. To begin the ordering process, please visit www.savirfidcatalog.com for pricing and contract line item information.
